1961 Spring | Our Town | Thornton Wilder | E.A. Hall in Watson ville and at Santa Cruz High in Santa Cruz | Cabrillo College Department of Drama | Dolores Abrams | Brian Spencer, who was in the production recalls, “We did the shows at E.A. Hall in Watsonville and at Santa Cruz High. I played BOTH of the newspaper boys -- riding a bicycle down the aisles of the theatre to 'throw' papers onto the stage. Abrams directed and she did the same play as her last production at Cabrillo and I played Simon Stimson. An amusing story from the first production was one of our older actors who had trouble remembering where the 'walls' were. Dolores lectured him about this until he stopped her by saying, ‘I know, I know, but I'll be just fine when the set gets in.’” | |||||||
